Mediocalcar decoratum is the cutest orchid on earth! With its short, round leaves, sausage-like links, and mini-pumpkin shaped (and colored) flowers, it is one of the most distinctive orchids anywhere. It hails from Papua New Guinea, an exotic locale full of exotic plants (and headhunters, too) but fortunately, ths plant is exceptionally easy to grow. While it starts off small, it will eventually grow outwards in all directions to cover its surface.
